MY SECOND HALF
 |
This story began like the stories of many
others who decided to entrust the Internet their search for love and happiness.
Still it looks very different. Tatyana always believed that marriages happen in
the heavens. "I know that everyone has his or her own "half", the problem is
that we are not patient enough to wait for our "one and only". We are not always
able to recognize our destiny..."
Tatyana also made her own mistakes by
meeting the wrong people, and getting frustrated, realizing that it was not
right for her. "I believe that God's hand showed me the right direction. I
needed a lot of patience on this road. I was determined to follow my heart, and
not settle for anything less that love. I did not want a man who could be my
"ticket" out of Russia to the Promised Land."
|
Friends told her: "You should
not wait for love. It's not important nowadays - you will get used and
love will come... - "sterpitsja - slubitsja". Now, happily
married, Tanya sees how miserable life can become for these women who
married foreign husbands without developing any feelings.
Tanya spent about six years
searching for her "second half". She did not suffer from lack of
attention. Among those who proposed to her were many decent , intelligent
and financially secure men with different age ranges. "Probably, I
was too picky. Even my mother warned me many times: 'You have to chose
someone. You will stay alone with such an attitude. Look at other girls,
they are ready to marry the first guy available just to get out of
here...' "
Tatyana realized that her mom
wished the best for her, but she could not change herself, she was waiting
for love. "May be it sounds too sentimental, but I had a premonition
that I would meet my "second half". It did not matter what
country he was from, I just knew he was somewhere in the Universe."
When Tatyana received the first letter from her future husband, it stirred
her soul. This letter was very different from all other mail she often
received."This letter was written from his heart, I could see the
open and straight person behind it.He also had a very good sense of
humor." After months of corresponding and talking on the phone, Rod
came to Russia. From the first moment, they both got the feeling that they
always knew each other.
Now,
three years later, they still enjoy each other as much as when they first met.
They always have something to talk about, and they still laugh together. There
is always romance in their daily life."Yes, now I know for sure that he is my
"second half", the man I have been waiting for all my
life."
