My RW fiancee likes visiting your board, and I am interested in determining if it is possible for me to get her a membership. I have heard that there is now a minimal monthly cost for the ladies to be active posters on the Russian language board for women. Is there any way I can pay or prepay for her so she can join?

Dear Natasha,
Thank you for directing me, and my wife Olga to your Women’s Forum. Since she became a member of the forum, she stopped complaining that she had no friends. She has also stopped hassling me with thousands of questions – many of which I have no answers. I have even learned some useful things myself which she found in the discussions there.

Since its inception five years ago, the Women’s forum of Russian Women Abroad has become a real community of Russian women living abroad. The main mission of our project is to help Russian ladies adjust to a new life in a foreign country. Upon coming abroad, and during the first years living abroad, our women encounter a number of serious problems, which are very similar for every woman. On our RWA Forum, women exchange useful information, find Russian contacts in their areas, support each other morally, and find answers to their numerous questions.
I receive a great deal of letters from Russian women who confess that RWA and our Women’s Forum helped them stay in the country and not return to Russia, helped them better understand their foreign husbands, find good friends, and fight depression and nostalgia that are very common among Russian women, especially, during the first years abroad.
Some foreign husbands of Russian women expressed their concern that many forums of Russian immigration have negatively influenced their Russian spouses. Unfortunately, the majority of existing Forums of Russian immigration develop and encourage negativity towards International couples in particular, and the country where they currently reside (America, Canada, etc.) in whole. This negativity strongly affects Russian women who come to these forums for communication and support. The Women’s forum of Russian Women Abroad has proven to be the most friendly Russian forum, that protects the interests of International marriages, encourages positive attitudes toward the new country of their residence and its citizens, teaches to understand and accept foreign culture, and obey the local laws.
RWA was started as a non-commercial website. With time, it’s popularity among Internet users made it very difficult for us to maintain and support the growing needs of our project. Our women’s forum has accumulated extremely high traffic, and a bandwidth that exceeded the limitations of shared servers.
In order to keep our Women’s forum working, from January 1, 2004, we had to set up a small fee for those members who want to proceed participating in our discussions. Presently, we already have more than 100 active members, the participants of RWA Fund of Support, and more people are joining daily:
