BACK TO RUSSIA?

There is an opinion that Russian women marry foreigners only because they want to escape Russia's political instability, financial crises and devastated economy.  On the contrary, many women who came abroad on  a K-1 (Fiancée Visa) confess that the main reason they remain in a foreign country is their husbands. Many assure that they would trade the stability and prosperity of life abroad for the opportunity to return back to Russia - provided their new family could make a decent living there.

"Back to Russia" - is the topic of our most recent discussion on our "women's forum."   Russian women living abroad have been requested to give their opinion regarding their possible return to Russia. The essence of the discussion was to investigate whether we consider America (or any other country of our residence) our homeland or do we imply "Russia" every time we say "home?"  Would we all go back to Russia if the Russian economy would miraculously change for the better or would we prefer to stay abroad?

The result showed opposing opinions.  Of course, everyone has found their own reason  "for" or "Against" returning.  Many agreed that in spite of the nostalgia surrounding a possible return to Russia, at the present moment their return does not seem possible.
