MIRACLES HAPPEN

I was passionate about studding English. I was majoring in Russian language and literature, plus I took extra English. This course had been just opened when we entered the college. After our second year we realized that the Institute did not give us enough knowledge.

We tried to study English everywhere: through the radio and ESHKO courses using intensive program and anything else we could find. Our next decision was Saint-Petersburg where we were going to get a second education specializing in English. When my friend and I arrived to the city, the dollar rate made significant jump high rocketing the prices for education along with. We could not afford the chosen course but decided to stay in St. Petersburg anyway. We found a job.

One day somebody told us about the coming meeting with American men arranged by one of St. Petersburg marriage agencies. We thought that it could be a good chance to practice in English. Besides, it sounded like a fun: free admiration in one of the most famous night club in the city, free dancing, free champagne. Free - is a magic word for Russian soul! We decided to go.

My future husband caught me right when I came in. He did not let me communicate with anybody else. I liked it! After dance he took me and my friend to a folklore show. The next day we had a boat trip along Moika and Neva (the famous Petersburg's rivers).

I enjoyed the entertainment and did not think that something serious was coming... But not him! Very soon, when we went to the Hermitage (the art museum), instead of looking at the paintings he proposed... I was very surprised, because I never believed that it was possible to date somebody for a week and made sure, that he was right for you. But he perfectly knew what he wanted! The next two days I had been trying to digest the information. On Sunday, he called my parents and told them the news. They were in shock. They did not believed it and disapproved my marriage. They persisted until we came to meet them. He charmed my mom and dad immediately. By the end of the evening they both agreed that he was a wonderful person and he would be good for me.

Now we are happily married and wish you the same. Miracles happen!
