Elena and Jim

I am Elena, and would love to find some other people close to Pennsylvania to hear my native language with from time to time. My husband, Jim, and our 8 month old son live in Harrisburg, PA. I came to the USA in May of 2004, and was married in June of that year. Jim and I are happy and our son keeps our life full, not to mention that another one is on the way. A quick recap of our story, I met Jim from an agency in Sevastopol, and we wrote and talked for 3 months and then he came to see me. We knew it was great from the start, but it took 7 more months and two more visits from Jim to get me to America. I've since been back to Ukraine to see my Mom, Dad, and Friends, and they've been over here, but I'd really like to feel less isolated here by having some good contacts here in the USA. I know there have to be SOME inernational couples in PA!

Tom and Aksana

Hello to all other "International Couples"! My wonderful wife Aksana and I were married on October 27th, 2004 in Leesburg, Virginia -- after she arrived in the USA from Minsk, Belarus for her fourth and final visit to the USA (now she's here to stay). We met through mutual friends during our summer vacations and she decided she didn't mind that I was about 19 years older than her (she is 32 and I'm 51). We both work in the Education Field. *** Now we are doing all the things necessary for Aksana to become part of the American "system" -- while still retaining her own culture. She is also adjusting to the sometimes odd nature of American teenagers in the form of my 15-year-old Daughter, "Ginger". *** Aksana will hopefully be able to drive American-style soon, and return to work at a college or university in the Washington, DC area. Hello,  My name is Perry & my wife is Elena. I met her on one of my trips to St Petersburg, which is one of my favorite cities. We were introduced by the woman who found me a flat to rent there. After a 17 day "first date," I returned to Columbus, OH & applied for a K-1 visa for Elena. She spoke excellent English when I met her & she continues to improve much quicker than my Russian improves! While we live near one of the largest universities in USA, we have not found any other Russian-American couples. Elena arrived in USA 1 Aug 2002 and we were married 6 Oct 2002. I did help a man from Idaho with his K-1 visa for his Ukrainian fiancee but we have lost touch with them.  So Lena is looking for Russian friends, preferably withOUT children as parents are always so wrapped up in their children. My name is Tanya, I am 24. My husband Jon is 32. We lived together in Moscow  for a year when I worked there and he studied Russian. In June, 2 days before my birthday, we married. We've enjoyed your site and thought we'd send you a little something for you International Couples Club.
My Name is Brian (40) and my wonderfully lovely wife is Marina (21).
She's from Kremenchug, Poltava Ukraine.
I'm very well traveled from international business and we met 2 years ago on the beach while I was on holiday in Yalta on the Black Sea. Marina has been in the USA for one year now and we've been married since last September. We originally lived in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but made the big move to San Diego area last February.
We enjoy it very much here, but would enjoy meeting couples in the area (Russian and Non-Russian). Marina is fairly well adjusted to the states already. She speaks great English (Great student as she spoke VERY little when I first met her!), works, drives, and will be getting her own new Beetle next week! Personally, I'm very proud of her, and how well she has adjusted. Yet, like many of the ladies who come over here, she misses conversing in Russian and doing some of the traditional things she's used to.
So, thanks for having this web site! We truly believe your providing a great service to everybody and hope we can make some new friends from it!

Я вышла замуж за итальянца в 1996 году, родила сына 22 месяца назад, хочу общаться с русскими девчатами как можно чаще. Мне 32 года. Хочу узнать побольше про Америку, так всегда хотела уехать туда, может просто много фильмов насмотрелась, но человек всегда хочет верить в лучшее. Пишите мне. Мне скучновато здесь, несмотря на то что у меня очень хороший муж. Но я здесь только продавцом могу работать, а в Ростове на Дону я уже в 21 год работала главным бухгалтером (закончила я институи народного хозяйства). Чувствую себя нереализованной, а начинать сначала что-либо наверное поздно в 32 года. Недавно гордилась нашим Лешей Ягудиным.
