“To Let Her Live How She Wants”

Hello Natasha,
First off, let me say I have enjoyed your website. It is enlightening and very educational. Any American Man looking for a Russian bride is stupid if he did not think so. I realized it is for the Russian woman, but I will be bringing my fiancée to America in June.

I visited her and her family and loved every minute I was there. I hope to travel back to Russia as often as I can.

I understand that not all American men are good, just like all Russian men are not good. I want her to live how she wants. If she wants to work, she will. She decides on her own friends. I realize that there are many things about Russian woman that I do not understand and I want to spend the rest of my life trying to do so. We will have a good and bad time together, that is life itself.

I realize those Russian women are at a disadvantage when they come to America, just as if I moved to Russia. I want her to bring her culture with her. I am busy preparing my house for her arrival, but I will do as much as I can to have Russian culture as part of my lifestyle.

I wish there was something that the American men (the ones who care) can do to help woman in bad situations. I am on email lists of American men looking for Russian brides. A lot of them talk and have opinions that I cannot believe. Some are "control" freaks and must dominate the marriage and control all the Russian woman does. This is not my intention. I believe in an equal marriage and hope we will achieve truthful communication in order for us to survive

I would like to continue to read your web page and I am open to any suggestions from Russian woman either abroad or in America. I am 43 years old, but I am willing to change my behavior to make things work. I like to think of myself as a good person, but not perfect.

In conclusion, I have always felt that Russia was part of me for over 20 years. When I walked down the streets of the city, I did not feel out of place or in another country, even though I am not good at the Russian language.

Thank you for listening.
Charlie
